I'm Gabrielle, a teacher, a Mama & lover of anything creative & play based!
Settle in, this story is 9 years long!
My journey to Bundabubs Art Play began when I lived in Bundaberg with my newborn bub.
I couldn't find many classes for me and bub to go to, to meet other Mums and bubs. So I decided to create my own. I ran messy play & messy nature play classes for bubs & LOVED it. When we left Bundy for Perth in 2020, I left feeling proud that my classes had made an impact on the community. During covid & since, I've been playing & researching with my bubs. As they have got older I have adapted our messy play to became what it is today, something that we call art play. Independent play with art materials. Like messy play but with paint instead of pasta!

My Why
At the heart of it all, Bundabubs is about the process of making art. My why is to give people total creative control over their art in order to hone their skills. No one has ever been disappointed in the final product because they have been so engaged in the creation of it.

A little bit about me: The things that bring me the most joy (outside of Bundabubs!) are walking along the coast with an iced coffee and an audiobook, hunting for hidden treasures in Op Shops, eating cake (always Victoria Sponge) and dancing with friends to hits from the 90s!
WHY ART PLAY?
Art play has so many benefits for children. Especially when it's at the beach!

We love it because it:

motivates speaking - because they can't help but share about their creations

helps develop fine & gross motor skills

All of this adds to their curiosity, imagination & confidence.
And let's face it, it's fun!

And let's not forget about the adults!
I have found that adults need art play just as much (if not more!) than kids do! Adult sessions are focused on slowing down, reconnecting with creativity and creating for the love of it. I create a relaxed, judgement-free space where no artistic experience is needed just an open mind and trust in yourself. These sessions encourage people to step away from the busyness of daily life, trust their instincts and enjoy the calming process of making something with their hands.
