I know I say this all the time but I am in AWE of children's innate abilities to be creative.

At Art Play Club we build the creative muscles by giving children time to process their thoughts and make them into art. We don't rush, we don't interrupt and we DEFINITELY don't tell them what to do.

Giving kids time and space to create is one of my greatest joys in life. Seeing that spark of inspiration from a balloon and a bit of air dry clay is like watching magic in real life.

Came across these photos the other day.

From a time when I was trying to keep our days interesting (because, covid) and we were in our air bnb era. (for 12 months!)

I think I spent more time with these two then, than I have with anyone else in my entire life.

We only had each other for months!!

This life we've created in Perth is one I could only dream of back then.

The days I spent wondering whether I would ever be one of those lucky people I saw meeting friends for coffees and playdates.

My kids don't really remember it but I know it shaped us all forever.

Always grateful for the life we chose and all the incredible people we've met along the way. Thank you for being here for us ❤️.

Art play kept us going through our hardest time and I didn't even know it. Life's funny like that.
